Dennis Neeley, Architect

Neeley was the founder of Neeley/Lofrano, Architects, in San Francisco, 1970 – 1990.  He was a principal of HAB Construction and Development from 1975 – 1985.  These firms designed and constructed residential and commercial properties.

In 1985 Neeley’s firm, Archsoft, licensed to Autodesk the software AutoCAD AEC Architectural and Mechanical, which became the largest selling AEC software in the world.  Since this time Neeley has started multiple software companies that have created manufacturer electronic information catalogs, the first Internet based facilities management suite, analysis software, and CAD applications and BIM objects.

Neeley has written scores of articles on AEC-FM (Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Facilities Management) automation, two books and taught at Carnegie Mellon University, University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Washington.  Neeley uses BIM software; he understands what is needed to maximize the data that can come from the BIM model.

Gordon Burns, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP

Gordon Burns is the Owner and CEO of Gordon Burns & Associates, P.C., a highly successful architectural, program management, real estate development, community planning and BIM management services firm headquartered in Atlanta and with offices in Chicago.

Founded in Chicago in 1974, Gordon Burns & Associates, P.C. has successfully designed, developed or program managed more than $3.0 billion of residential, commercial and institutional properties nationally, for investor, corporate, developer and public and private institutional clients.

Burns is an advanced and experienced Autodesk Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM) user since 2001. Burns holds architect licenses in CA, FL, GA, IL, MA, VA, TX, SC, IN, IA and AZ and is NCARB certified.

Burns has advised, developed and implemented Comprehensive BIM Management Plans for organizations and institutions nationally. He has written BIM Guidelines and Standards and BIM Execution Plans used by Owners and Facility Managers.

Roland de Filippi

Roland de Filippi has twenty years experience in the IT, financial, and AEC industries. His focus has been to deliver projects that surpass customer expectations while meeting business targets and schedules. He has worked developing software and software supported solutions for project management, research management, design, and design support systems for fortune 500 companies.

Roland also started and ran Ariano Development, a boutique residential renovation construction company. He has current construction licenses in Massachusetts and California and holds degrees from Carnegie-Mellon University in History, Architecture, and Computer Science.
